Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of air condition & refrigeration systems within the institution.  Performs both planned and corrective maintenance.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
Diagnoses system malfunctions.
Dismantles, repairs and re-installs equipment.
Perform and document routine safety tests.
Trains medical, nursing and other staff in the safe and correct use of new equipment.
Performs and documents repairs.
Assist with installation of new air – condition  equipment and systems.
Perform and document inspections and tests on new equipment.
Maintains all air- conditioning units – central units , window units and split systems in the various facilities according to the Preventative Maintenance schedule.
Keeps inventory of all assigned equipment and replacement parts.
Provides information for ordering replacement parts.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma.
Certificate in Air condition & refrigeration.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year experience preferred.

OTHER:
Good written and oral communication skills.
