Assist the Representative in the technical activities under her responsibilities. Help coordinate, plan, monitor and follow-up on the technical cooperation activities implemented by the Delegation. Assist in administrative and day by day operations of the Delegation. 

MAIN DUTIES 

1. Assist in IICA’s processes of planning, monitoring and evaluation. 

1. Reconcile the office´s monthly and annual accounts and prepare the various budget/batch reports 

1. The applicant must be detailed oriented, a self-starter who holds a Bachelor’s degree 

1. Experience in Agriculture, Environment, or/and rural development is desired

1. Excellent inter-personal skills with proven experience in fostering relationships with public and private institutions  

1.  Advanced writing and oral skills in English, with the ability to prepare presentations and review reports. 

1. Strong computer skills needed for internal financial record keeping 

1. Basic knowledge of Spanish is a plus  

1. Must be a Bahamian citizen 

1. Manage all financial transactions of the office, keep accurate and up to date records of budget account expenditures and balances. Prepare entries related to the computerized accounting system, monthly reports, cash flows and bank reconciliations. Provide timely reconciliation of charge advice and monthly reports received from the Finance Division at Headquarters  

1. Ensures application of IICA´s administrative, personnel, financial, accounting, purchasing, auditing norms, regulations, manuals and procedures. 

1. Make preparations for the execution of meetings, conferences, travel, seminars and workshops, make arrangements for the mission of regional specialists and consultants. 

1. Support day by day technical and administrative activities as part of the Bahamas’ IICA team.
