Job Description

Job Summary

The AKA Adventurers will be responsible for the direct supervision and program leadership of all children in each session. The Adventurer is responsible for ensuring the program is offered to the defined standard of quality.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Directly supervises a group of children and ensures their personal safety during the program.

Delivers program in a way that is creative, fun and exciting to children through showmanship and entertaining presentation.

Leads various recreational, adventurous and interpretive programs for children.

Engages and involves children in all aspects of the program including recreational games, activities, arts and crafts, computer programs and games, video games, swimming and field trips.

Ensures a roster of each child in attendance with complete information is available for every session.

Completes daily routine and maintains tasks as assigned.

Provides prompt, courteous and professional service at all times.

Maintains a high standard of conduct and good working relationship with all staff.

Welcomes guest with a smile and adheres to hotel greeting standards.

Actively promotes the program.

Accepts and inputs reservations and registration information.

Remind parent of pick up times.

Keep accurate records.

Requirements

Valid experience, education or background in childcare, recreation, education or related areas.

Strong swimming ability.

Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office and Micros

Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

Certification in CPR and First Aid, second language helpful.

Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.

Ability to focus attention on details.

Ability to work along with other department and coworkers as part of a team.

Ability to work well under pressure on any assigned.

Ability to think clearly, quickly and make brief decisions.

Ability to multi task between multiple guests and telephone.

Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the department and even by the telephone.

Ability to focus on internal and external guests needs and remain calm and courteous.

Ability to demonstrate the main priority to blow away the customer.

Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time
