A major resort in the southern western district of New Providence is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator.

The Heavy equipment operator is responsible for operating heavy construction equipment in a safe and effective manner. The successful candidate must also be able to properly clean, maintain & secure all equipment daily. A minimum of 5 years’ experience with operating heavy equipment is required.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, equipment damage or the loss of life

· Perform daily safety and maintenance checks

· Clean equipment as scheduled or required

· Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored

· Advise supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs in a timely manner

· Perform routine maintenance

· Practice workplace safety

· Maintain inventory for spare parts inventory and general maintenance
