Job Description

Royal Island Resort, is a private island which is rented out to large groups and families. We are located off of North Eleuthera and Spanish Wells. We focus on high-end service and accommodation. We offer full-service meals, snacks and drinks. We are looking for a hard-working and team-oriented chef to join our team.  This position is part time and salary is based on experience.

Responsibilities-Sous Chef and Staff Cook
• Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh.
• Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
• Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods.
• Present, garnish and arrange final dishes.
• Proper timing and preparation of meal prep.
• Prepare platters in a professional manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Handle and store ingredients and food.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients.
• Monitor station inventory levels.
• Accommodate guest’s special requests.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers.
• Laisse with service and bar staff to ensure a cohesive service.
• Responsible for Cooking for staff as well as guests.
• Supervises the Dishwasher
• Support Head Chef in all manners.
