Job Description

EXECUTIVE CHEF NEEDED

Duties include:

  1. Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
  2. Modify or create new menus that meet quality standards of the Resort
  3. Estimate food requirements and coordinate orders with the Purchasing Manager
  4. Input and track inventory with electronic system and performing physical counts when needed
  5. Supervise kitchen staff activities
  6. Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
  7. Train and manage kitchen staff
  8. Perform administrative duties inclusive of preparing weekly work schedules and compile records for bi-weekly payroll
  9. Communicate any specials to wait and bar staff, ensure they are aware of any 86 items.
  10. Comply with health and safety regulations
  11. All other duties as required

Requirements

  1. No less than 15 years experience in the culinary field
  2. No less than 5 years serving in a managerial role in the kitchen
  3. Four-year culinary degree program preferred
  4. Ability to produce a high quality of work in a timely manner  which is accurate, complete and of a high quality
  5. Satisfactory computer and typing skills needed to liaise with vendors, create schedules, input inventories etc.
  6. Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs if necessary

As this position is on a private island, candidate should be prepared to relocate.
