Job Description- Finance Manager

This role guarantees the reliability and completeness of the accounts, ensures the budgetary follow-up, and plays his role of financial and administrative adviser for the managers of the village. The ideal candidate can analyze and present the accounts to the shareholders (owners) if necessary.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee accounting reliability and completeness in the village under the group’s local rules and / or with the owner’s accounting mode
  • Ensure the proper application of accounting procedures by all departments
  • Ensure the optimization of the cash flow of the village: forecasts, achievements, payment deadlines and limitation of cash flow (cash and bank)
  • Guarantee and respect the security standards of the means of payment managed in the village
  • Monitor the balance of payments
  • Establish and analyze the different financial statements and reports in collaboration with village and country office managers: weekly management, monthly closings and forecasts
  • Analyze, monitoring and optimizing the village’s operating budgets.
  • Centralize; measure and challenge the action plans of the various services of the village, in coordination with the RDS and communicate these results to the CDV, DRO and Business Control Manager
  • Offer guidance to the General manager in collaboration with the Department’s manager to optimize revenue and minimize costs without affecting the quality of the product
  • Run rotating ad-hoc surveys for completeness checks: inventory levels and billing books, reconciliation of purchase orders and invoices, time sheets and payroll logs and contracts (all employees ), membership book, lists and annexes
  • Ensure the strict application of the procedures, in accordance with the country and headquarters directives, for the following elements: telephone, medicines, exchange rate, authorization procedures, rules of discounts and gratuities
  • Carry out tenders for local contracts in agreement with the Country Office
  • Assist the procurement manager with the followings (the supply chain optimization: quality / price ratio, delivery time, reliability, tight flow …)
  • Track the import and insurance records
  • Ensure a proper communication with the local authorities.
  • Ensure a good social climate in its service and organize meetings for corrective follow-up
  • Any additional functions as assigned by your manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or another relevant field
  • 5 years of experience with a Finance Department, preferably within a hotel
  • Working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel and Computer Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meeting
  • Highest level of integrity and transparency Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic, analytical and have solid business acumen
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
