Professional, high-energy with excellent communication skills to serve a variety of (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) cocktails and exciting new beverage specials to our customers. The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also upsell items, suggest recipes, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and manage basic cleaning duties.

To succeed as a bartender, you should always have an apron, clean uniform, and a neat appearance. Ensure you always have the proper tools and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, and knowledgeable.

Bartender Responsibilities:

· Setup bar area 1 hour prior to the operational hours under a schedule time that will be arranged by manager. Sanitize by wiping down bar and serving areas.

· Set up all liquor bottles, tools, and equipment.

· Pre-mix any cocktails or mixers, prepare and setup garnishes, setting up bar mats, straws and napkin holders are clean and filled.

· Taking inventory to ensure bar is well-stocked.

· Ensure all bar glasses are clean and ready to serve.

· Welcoming customers, listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink and /or food orders in a timely manner.

· Informing customers about new beverages and food specials.

· Collects numbers from customer after service.

· Checking identification to ensure customers are of the legal age to purchase alcohol.

· Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.

· Handling credit and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct transaction slips to patrons, balancing the register.

· Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift and at the end of shift.

· Assist staff with the breakdown and securing of all items as related to The Crew House after closing each night.

· Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

· Participate in pre-shift meetings to stay informed about specials and restaurant activities.

· Assist with other tasks as directed by management.
