Job Description

The Human Resources Assistant (Technology & Data) will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the human resources technologies and data. Ensuring data integrity, changes, and employee engagement; completes assigned reporting functions, and other information as assigned.

Performs general administrative support functions and assists area personnel as necessary.

POSITION SCOPE:             

The Human Resources Assistant (Technology & Data) is expected to be one of support and reports to the Human Resources Manager or as otherwise assigned. He/she will be the technical point of contact for the human resources systems and assists with ensuring data integrity and report writing.

DUTIES AND TASKS:

He/she will:

Maintain health, safety and environment standards by:

‐ Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

‐ Ensuring compliance with all environmental and health standards, and

‐ Completing all required HSE training.

Ensure accuracy of data management processes by:

  • Maintaining human resource management system and employee records
  • Processing work permits, and maintaining other human resources related databases.
  • Maintaining timekeeping system and generating timesheets.

 Ensure efficiency in the execution of daily human resource functions, initiative and operations by:

  • Auditing and ensuring data integrity related to all Human Resources information management process and transactions
  • Assisting and processing employee data and changes in HRMS;
  • Providing day-to-day administration services to all employees
  • Planning and developing employee engagement activities
  • Managing budget and creating and processing requisitions
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Recording and reporting information required monthly, quarterly and year-end

Support managing opportunities and risks by:

  • Protecting the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations
  • Administering various human resource plans and procedures for all organization employees;

Contribute to team effort by performing or leading with projects to ensure continuous operation of the department and completing other duties as assigned.

ACADEMIC/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

The Human Resource Assistant will have an earned bachelor’s degree in Business, Information System or HR related field, with a professional certification preferred along with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the Human Resources field. He/ she will have the ability to work independently or in a team setting harmoniously with all employees, management, unions and the public as necessary.  He/she will have communication (verbal and written) skills and keep abreast new and evolving trends in HR and Industrial Relations and will be well organized, accurate and attentive to detail. The Human Resources Assistant will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment; proficient in related computer applications; willingness to assist and support others promptly and courteously and must be able to work with minimum supervision. He/she will function in a manner consistent with the organizations commitment to excellence and integrity, operating in every instance with a clear acceptance of personal responsibility, confidentiality, accountability and ethics.
