Director of Development

Job Description

In collaboration with the Queen’s College Foundation, the Queen’s College Board of Governors and Administration, the Director of Development will implement the school development plan and advance the mission, vision, and values of the school. The Director of Development reports to the Chairman of the Queen’s College Foundation.

MINIMUM CRITERIA FOR EMPLOYMENT

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and seven years post qualification work experi­ence is required
  • Two professional references
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good marketing/promotional skills
  • Proficient in the use of office technology including Microsoft Office
  • The ability to function independently and work with deadlines
  • Able to work well with Trustees of The Queen’s College Foundation and other members of the Administrative Team

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day-to-day management of the Development Office
  • Organize and document meeting minutes for monthly Queen’s College Foundation meetings
  • Develop and execute Queen’s College Foundation development plan
  • Build, manage and maintain the school’s Alumni database so as to achieve a high degree of accuracy and relia­bility in communication
  • Coordinate all aspects of Annual Queen’s College Walk-a-thon
  • Direct, manage or supervise the management of special fundraising and alumni events
  • Daily management of Alumni & Friends Community Website, including membership approval, monitoring of content submitted by members and regularly updating the web content
  • Identify and cultivate media contacts in preparation of press releases
