Trivia Night Host Wanted – Wednesday Evenings
We are looking for a friendly, upbeat, and reliable person to host a weekly trivia night on Wednesday evenings.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys entertaining a crowd, interacting with guests, and keeping a fun event moving smoothly.
Pay: $300 per night
Time Commitment: 2.5 hours each Wednesday night
Questions: Host must create 20 trivia questions each week
Responsibilities include:
  • Hosting and leading trivia night in an engaging, energetic, and professional manner
  • Creating 20 trivia questions each week
  • Welcoming guests and encouraging participation
  • Explaining the rules clearly at the start of the event
  • Going around to collect answers from guests or teams
  • Keeping accurate score throughout the night
  • Operating basic sound/speaker equipment
  • Promoting other nights at the bar on occasion throughout the night
  • Keeping the event organized, on time, and fun
  • Handling guest questions or disputes with common sense, discretion, and good people skills
  • Maintaining a positive atmosphere, even under pressure
  • Trivia will run two hours. Must arrive at least 30 minutes before prepare and encourage participation
Ideal candidate should be:
  • Reliable and available every Wednesday night
  • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking in front of a group
  • Organized and able to keep score accurately
  • Comfortable using basic technology such as speakers, microphones, or music playlists
  • Able to interact with guests in a fun but professional way
  • Able to calmly resolve issues, such as complaints about phone use, scoring disputes, or guests feeling something was unfair
  • Good at using judgment and people skills to keep the night enjoyable for everyone
  • Prior experience hosting trivia, events, karaoke, bingo, open mic nights, or similar entertainment is a plus, but not required.
